Columbus Technical College to Graduate Largest Class Ever
May 30, 2007 – Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 7:30 PM. That’s when Columbus Technical College will hold its Summer Commencement ceremony at the Civic Center, boasting the largest number of graduates ever in attendance! More than 1,600 students have completed the course requirements for their programs to make them eligible for graduation. Those graduating from eight of the College’s 28 health sciences programs will also enjoy their traditional pinning ceremony; this is the first time the two events will be integrated together.
Graduates and attendees will enjoy a commencement address by Representative Vance Smith of Georgia’s 129th District. Columbus Technical College is extremely grateful to Representative Smith and to all members of the Columbus delegation for their tireless efforts in securing state funding ($16.28 million in the 2008 budget) for a new health sciences facility to be designed and built on the site of the College’s future campus on River Road.
Columbus Technical College offers 108 programs of study where, upon completion, students are armed with hands-on experience and a first rate education (certificate, degree or diploma) to take with them into the “real world.” Columbus Technical College boasts a job placement rate after graduation of approximately 98%.
Please join us for this historic graduation ceremony and help support the students of Columbus Technical College as they enter this exciting new chapter in their lives.
