Delegation from China Visits Columbus Technical College

Columbus Technical College put out the welcome mat for a group of special visitors last week. A delegation of technical College administrators and educators from Hangzhou, China was in Georgia, touring technical colleges around the state. The group arrived in Columbus Thursday, June 16 and was on the campus of Columbus Technical College Friday, June 17 enjoying tours and presentations on how technical college programs prepare students for the workforce.

Zhang Xiaohong, deputy president of Hanzhou S&T Occupational Technical College, led the delegation of high- ranking educators. The 17 visitors hail from S&T College and Zhejiang Radio and TV University. They hope to further improve relationships between the U.S. and China while learning about successful postsecondary education practices.
