CTC’s Instructor, Student of the Year Both Place in Top Statewide

Congratulations to Columbus Technical College’s GOAL (Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership) winner for 2013 and our Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year for rising to the top statewide! During the Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) annual GOAL/Rick Perkins conference in Atlanta last week, it was announced that Diagnostic Medical Sonography student Jordan Buckelew and Respiratory Care Technology Instructor Karen DePineuil both placed in the top nine across Georgia. To put that into perspective, there are about 175,000 students enrolled in the TCSG and around 3,000 instructors employed by the system.

While they may not have come home with trophies, they are both big winners in our eyes. Please tell them congrats!
