Nurse Aide Classes Celebrate Success; 100% Pass Rate

Being a nurse aide or assistant is tough work. These men and women are on the front line of caring for the sick and elderly. Choosing to enter this field takes a lot of training, knowledge, and most of all, compassion. Knowing the collective heart of these individuals made the celebration of the recent classes of our nurse aide students especially sweet.

Seven students from Columbus Technical College’s economic development nurse aide program and nine from the credit version of the program were treated to an appreciation ceremony complete with loved ones in the audience and a yummy breakfast. Of the 16 total students, 15 are already employed in their field or continuing their nursing education. Within days of their ceremony, program director Donna Ballard got word that every one of these students passed their state certification exam! They are now considered Certified Nurse Aides.
