AMCA 2190 - CAD/CAM Programming (2-4-4)

Emphasizes the development of skills in computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM). The student will design and program parts to be machined on computer numerical controlled machines. Topics include: hardware and software, drawing manipulations, tool path generation, program posting, and program downloading.

Courses are arranged in alphabetical-numerical order. Numbers in parentheses following each descriptive title indicate the number of weekly class hours, weekly laboratory hours, and the credit hours of the course expressed in semester hours.

For example: ACCT 1100 – Principles of Accounting I (3-2-4) (Meets 3 class hour/week, 2 lab hours/week, and has 4 semester-hours’ credit). In addition, course prerequisites and/or corequisites are specified at the end of each course description.
