Central Sterile Supply Processing Technician Certificate

This program provides entry-level training in nationally based competencies in healthcare sterile supply processing and distribution areas. Jobs are available in hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities. Graduates will be prepared to take the National Institute for the Certification of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician's Exam. 32 Clinical hours must be completed for the course. These clinical hours must be done between the hours of 6am -3pm Tuesdays thru thursdays. Do not sign up for any classes during the allotted clinical times. Clinical's will be conducted at an area hospital.

Program Admission Requirements

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
  2. Be at least 17 years old.
  3. Submit current physical exam, immunization record and PPD results before entering clinical rotation.

Entrance is contingent on completion of a Background check through H.I.R.E which must be completed after being conditionally accepted to the program.
