ECEE 2240 - Early Childhood Care and Education Internship (0-36-12)
Provides the student with the opportunity to gain a supervised experience in an actual or simulated work site allowing demonstration of techniques obtained from course work. Practicum topics include promoting child development and learning; building family and community relationships; observing, documenting, and assessing to support young children and families; teaching and learning; becoming a professional; and guidance techniques and classroom management.
Co-requisite: ECCE 1105,
Prerequisite: ECCE1101, ECCE1103, ECCE1105, ECCE1112
Courses are arranged in alphabetical-numerical order. Numbers in parentheses following each descriptive title indicate the number of weekly class hours, weekly laboratory hours, and the credit hours of the course expressed in semester hours.
For example: ACCT 1100 – Principles of Accounting I (3-2-4) (Meets 3 class hour/week, 2 lab hours/week, and has 4 semester-hours’ credit). In addition, course prerequisites and/or corequisites are specified at the end of each course description. Columbus Technical College reserves the right to cancel or delete any courses with insufficient enrollment.
