RESP 1130 - Respiratory Therapy Lab I (4)

Provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with basic respiratory therapy equipment. Students perform simulated clinical exercises,as well as, bedside assessments, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Topics include: patient assessment, medical gasses, humidity/aerosol therapy, positive pressure breathing, incentive spirometry, postural drainage, percussion, vibration, and medical ethics.

Prerequisites: Program Admission; BIOL 2114; BIOL 2114L; MATH 1101; or MATH 1111

Corequisite: RESP 1120
