RNSG 2120 - Professional Practice IV: Health Promotion and Restoration for Mental Health (4)

This course is designed to introduce care of clients across the lifespan with alterations in mental health. The focus is on nurse-client

therapeutic relationships and behavioral and emotional responses to selected interpersonal, intrapersonal, and extra-personal physiological

and psychological alterations. Mental health, mental illness, and neuropathology are viewed in the context of growth and development of

clients across the life span. Emphasis is placed on knowledge and skills in therapeutic communication, assessment, psychopharmacology,

therapeutic techniques and interventions.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Nursing Fall semester.

Corequisites: RNSG 1150, RNSG 2100
