Students enrolled in classes at the Advanced Manufacturing
Center of Excellence at Columbus Technical College gain real
world knowledge through instructors that work alongside them with the latest
in full-scale manufacturing equipment and training
aids. Simulation software, robotics and many other hi-tech learning tools
are part of the exciting curriculum. Students can even learn how to make
3-D working models through state-of-the-art technology.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
The LR-Mate mobile robotic trainer will be used in live demonstrations at
area high schools. This will help generate interest in the many careers offered
in the advanced manufacturing technology field. Once a high school student
completes the Certified
Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) Certificate at Columbus Technical College,
he or she has two exciting career pathways from which to choose:

EMPLOYERS
Advanced training classes such as Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and
robotic programming are offered to area employers to ensure their team members
are equipped with the latest knowledge in the emerging technology fields.
