HOSP 1401 - Introduction to Food Safety (2-0-2)

This course is designed to increase the awareness of the causes of food poisoning and spoilage as they relate to day-to-day operations of

food preparation. The course will introduce the participants to the issues involved in producing safe food and will reinforce the need to apply

safe hygienic practices and principles at all times to reduce risks. The course is designed to satisfy the requirements of the Hospitality

Industry National Competency Standard.
