Nurse Aide Certificate

The Nurse Aide Program prepares the student to care for resident/patients in various settings including general medical and surgical hospitals, nursing care facilities, community care facilities for the elderly and home health services. Students who successfully complete the Nurse Aide Program may be eligible to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment program (NNAAP) which determine competency to become enrolled in the State nurse aide registry. Program Admission Requirements

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
  2. Be at least 17 years old.
  3. Successfully complete Background check before clinical rotation.
  4. Submit current physical exam, immunization record and PPD results before entering clinical rotation.

Entrance is contingent upon completion of a Background Check and Drug Screen from H.I.R.E. which must be completed after being conditionally accepted to the program.
