FIN 191 – Introduction to Finance - Provides an introduction to financial markets, institutions, and management in contemporary society. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of the financial markets in which funds are traded, the financial institutions participating in facilitating the trade of such funds, and the financial principles and concepts behind sound financial management. Topics include the financial systems of the United States, business finance management, financing of other sectors of the economy, and the time value of money. Prerequisite: Program admission
