PHY 1110 - the course is an introduction to some of the basic laws of physics. Topics include: systems of units and conversion of units; vector algebra; newtonian mechanics; fluids and thermodynamics; heat; light, and optics; mechanical waves; electricity and magnetism; and modern physics. Laboratory experience supports classroom learning. Computer use is an integral part of class and laboratory assignments. Prerequisite: MAT 191 or MAT 196.
