RCA 1000 - Residential Care Basics - This course will introduce the student to the basic concepts of caring for the elderly or disabled client in a residential care or home environment. Topics include roles and responsibilities, cultural diversity, nutrition, safety, elder abuse and neglect, specific disease processes, and infection control. Corequisites: EMP 1000A, 1000B and RCA 1003
