SUR 112 - Introductory Surgical Practicum - Orients students to the clinical environment and provides experience with basic skills necessary to the surgical technologist. Topics include scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and draping; assistance with patient care; processing of instruments and supplies; maintenance of a sterile field; basic instrumentation; and environmental sanitation. Prerequisites: BIO 194 and SUR 101 (taken no longer than 6 months prior to enrollment in SUR 112); Corequisite: SUR 102
