SUR 214 - Advanced Specialty Surgical Practicum - Provides opportunity for students to complete all required Surgical Technology procedures through active participation in surgery in the clinical setting. Topics include primary scrub on specialty surgical procedures; participation as a surgical team conducting ophthalmic, orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, cardiovascular, and neurosurgery procedures; independent case preparation and implementation of intraoperative skills; and demonstration of employability skills.
