Drug Abuse Prevention Program

The Higher Education Amendments of 1986 require that all post-secondary institutions make provisions for drug abuse prevention programs in order to remain eligible for financial aid. Available in the Admissions Office and the Student Handbook is a list of organizations and agencies in the Columbus area that work with people who have substance abuse (alcohol and/or drugs) problems. These groups offer information, educational services, and counseling.

Student Services also maintains a copy of the United Way Human Services Directory. This is a guide to human service programs serving people in Columbus, Fort Benning, and Russell County.
