Columbus Technical College is an authorized training center of the American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Program, the National Safety Council, Medic First Aid, the Emergency Care and Safety Institute and the American Safety and Health Institute.

Programs Offered PRICE
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

($35 renewal) The BLS for Healthcare Provider Course is available to heath care providers who work in a variety of health care settings. Classes offered every other Friday.

IV Therapy & Sedation

This class teaches medical professionals the basics of IV Therapy, starting and maintains an IV, to removing the IV and safety practices. This class is taught in accordance with the National Intravenous Society. All materials are provided.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Provider

The ACLS Provider Course teaches students the knowledge and skills that are needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of cardiac arrest.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Provider

The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide information needed to identify infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest,

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor

Current ACLS providers can teach others Advanced Cardiac Life Support through this class.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Instructor

This instructor course gives PALS providers the knowledge and skills to teach the class.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR / AED

($35 renewal) This course focuses on participants in every-day environments.

Basic Life Support /Heartsaver – Instructor Combination

This class teaches medical professionals the basics of IV Therapy, starting and maintaining an IV, to removing the IV and safety practices.

Bloodborne Pathogens

($35 online) This four-hour course applies to the healthcare industry and combines basic disease pathology with disease transmission prevention techniques. This course is available upon request and online.

CNA Classes

Prepares the student to care for resident/patients in various settings including general medical and surgical hospitals, nursing care facilities, community care facilities for the elderly and home health services.

CEU Lunch ‘n’ Learn

We will begin offering Lunch ‘n’ Learns for medical professionals to help meet the need for CEU credits.
