Student Organizations Hold Membership Drive

The Student Organization Awareness and Membership Drive on Thursday, April 10 was a huge success.  Six student organizations from Columbus Technical College were on hand to answer questions and, in many cases, sign up new members.  There was even a special table co-sponsored by the Columbus area Chapter of the NAACP and Foxie 105 radio station where folks could register to vote.  In a matter of less than two hours, 24 people registered!

April 10, 2008: Dozens of people lined up to either register to vote or to visit with Foxie 105 radio personalities at Columbus Technical College.

The Phi Beta Lambda table was a popular stop at the Student Organization Awareness and Membership Drive on April 10, 2008. PBL is a non-profit education association that helps prepare students for careers in business and business-related fields.

Those manning the National Technical Honor Society answer questions from potential members. The requirements for NTHS are: a 3.5 minimum GPA, successful completion of the equivalent of two quarters with at least 24 quarter hours, and an instructor recommendation.
