CTC Chapter of Student Nursing Group Donates to Girls in Need

July 14, 2009: The Columbus Technical College chapter of the National Student Nurses Association today donated $250 to the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home in Columbus. The home is a campus-style counseling and treatment facility for girls who have been sexually and physically abused. The money raised came from a recent gift basket raffle by the students in the Columbus Tech NSNA chapter.

Lynne Taylor, the director of the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home in Columbus, accepted a donation for $250 from the Columbus Technical College chapter of the National Student Nurses Association. Lynne Taylor, director for the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home, said this money will help a great deal. "We are so grateful for this $250 donation. It will go toward the purchase of school supplies and shoes for the girls," Taylor said. "Gestures like this help strengthen our relationship with the whole community - Columbus Technical College in particular."
