Foundation Hosts 'Beam Signing,' Site Tour
August 20, 2009: As part of his visit to Columbus Technical College,
Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Ron Jackson took part in
a joint meeting with the school's local and Foundation board,
a special "beam signing" ceremony and was later part of a tour
group that visited the site of the up-and-coming Dr. Robert
L. Wright, Jr. Health Sciences Center. The center is a public-private
venture with more than $16 million in state funding committed to
the project.
