Air Conditioning Technology Diploma

Air Conditioning Technology Diploma

This diploma program in air conditioning technology will provide you with the skills to compete in an area much in demand in our region.  Everyone and every business has an air conditioner in need of either installation or service.  This is a hands-on program for those who enjoy working on machinery in residential and light commercial settings.

Start with either refrigeration fundamentals or basic electrical training.  Then move on to advanced classes in system design, duct design, air conditioning installation and trouble-shooting, gas heating installation and trouble-shooting, and heat pump and related system installation and trouble-shooting.

In approximately one and 3/4 years, you will be ready to be certified as an industry professional through the Education Standards Corporation (ESCO) Industry Competency Exam (ICE) and the EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification Exam.

This area has absolutely no shortage of employment opportunities: service technician, installers, plant maintenance personnel, apartment complex maintenance personnel, salesmen, and trouble.
