Student Access to Pinnacle Gradebook

 

The Pinnacle Online Gradebook System allows you to view your class grades and attendance in a real-time atmosphere. Once your instructor enters your grade and attendance information for a specific day, you will have 24/7 online access to the information. This will help to ensure that you can better track your progress throughout the quarter.

 

There are three ways to access the system.

 

1.       Via Blackboard: My Columbus Tech Portal Tab/Pinnacle Gradebook (under Links), or

  1. Via www.columbustech.edu/pinnacle, or
  2. Direct: http://pinnacle.columbustech.edu/pinnscripts/piv.exe?action=signin

 

In each instance you will use the same username and password.

 

Username = Student ID (not SSN)

Password = MMDDYY of DOB

 

If you do not remember your Student ID, look on an old class registration schedule, login to Banner Web with your SSN, or speak with your instructor.

 

Our system is based on the Pinnacle Plus system used in K-12 schools. Over time we will be modifying the system to reflect our terminology and information needs.

 

Once you login to view your information, you will see a grade summary of all your classes. To look at the reports for a particular class, select the specific class from the Class pull-down menu.

 

  1. To view your individual assignment grades, select Student Assignments from the Report pull-down menu, and click Get Report.
  2. To view your attendance record, select Class Attendance Summary from the Report pull-down menu, and click Get Report.

 

Attendance records are based on the College Attendance Policy, and are calculated by hours. Instructors will annotate the number of class hours missed for a specific date or period of time using the Attendance Codes listed. If you see no dates listed for Attendance that means that the instructor has not listed you as absent for that date/period. Some instructors will enter a “P” in the attendance roster when you are present. If you have any questions on either your grades or attendance, please do not hesitate to contact your instructor(s).
