Adult Education- FREE GED PREP CLASSES

Please note: Due to limited computer test seating you must complete the online application located on the GEd Registration Form Tab. Once your online application is received, you will be contacted with a date and time for your class start date. Do not forget to bring a non-expired State ID to  your first day of class.

The Adult Education Department is located on the first floor of the Columbus Technical College Library building in room 610.

If you are not contacted within 48 business hours please call 706-641-5620. Columbus Technical College operates on a four-day week and is closed on Fridays.

Welcome to the Columbus Technical College Adult Education Department. The skilled and experienced professionals in this office are here to assist adult learners to acquire the necessary skills in reading, writing, computation, speaking, listening, and technology to compete successfully in today’s global workplace, and assists students in GED® Preparation. We also offer courses for English Language Learners.

Columbus Technical College Adult Education offers basic and advanced level classes to enhance knowledge and skills to pass college entrance exams, the ASVAB test, or obtaining the GED©.  Columbus Technical College offers free day and evening classes to eligible adults over 16 years of age.  Classes are designed to assist learners at any education level.  Columbus Technical College Adult basic and advanced classes are offered in six of the surrounding counties to include:  Chattahoochee, Harris, Muscogee, Quitman, Stewart and Talbot Counties.
