Business Office

The Business Office manages the collection of tuition and other fees owed to the college. The Cashier is located on the first floor of the Hartline Building and can be reached at 706-649-1750.

Paying Summer and Fall 2020 Tuition, Fees

In an effort to maintain safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, students are currently not allowed to enter Columbus Technical College.
The following options are available for payment of Summer and Fall tuition and fees.

 

Banner Web or Nelnet®

  • Login to your Banner Web account and follow the instructions for making payments.
  • Login to your Banner Web and apply for the payment plan through Nelnet®, then follow the instructions provided.

  • Questions about Banner Web login and/or passwords should be directed to the Computer Support Lab at computerhelp@columbustech.edu or by calling 706-641-5020.

Credit or Debit Card

  • Credit or debit card payments can be made by calling the Columbus Tech Business Office at 706-649-1310 on Mondays and/or Wednesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Check or Money Order

  • Before dropping off or mailing your payment, please make sure your check or money order includes the following:
    • Student ID number
    • Working phone number
    • Driver’s license state of issuance and number
  • For your convenience, Columbus Technical College now has a drop box at the front entrance of the Hartline Building on Manchester Expressway. Feel free to drop your payment off here anytime.

Nelnet Business Solutions  provides a tuition payment plan to assist students with making payments in a given term or semester.

Course Related Fees

The link contains course related fees for the programs offered at Columbus Technical College.  Please note that the Course numbers and fee amounts are subject to change. If there is a CR listed next to the fee amount, it means that it is a cost recovery fee and that the fee may increase or decrease based on the cost of the item for that semester. 

Fees for Programs Leading to Certification and/or Licensure

This link provides the additional costs for programs that lead to certification and/or licensure.  These costs include but are not limited to books, uniforms, tools, certification/licensure exams, etc.

Other Fees

  • Application Fee - $25.00
  • Diploma Replacement – $25.00
  • Exemption Test – 25% of tuition for the course
  • Graduation Fee - $40.00
  • Late Registration Fee - $45.00
  • Program Change Fee - $10.00
  • Replacement Parking Decal – $20.00
  • Retest Fee – $15.00 per section
  • Student I.D. Badge – $5.00 replacement fee
  • Transcript Fee – $7.50 per transcript standard mail; other fees apply for expedited transcripts

The cost of books varies depending on the program. Some programs also require the purchase of uniforms and additional supplies.

Refunds

Students must be formally dropped from class to receive a refund. It is the student’s responsibility to insure the withdrawal is completed. The last day to withdraw with a refund is noted in the Registrar’s registration calendar. Please see the Columbus Technical College Student Handbook and Catalog for complete refund procedures. Refunds are granted for only the first 15 hours of tuition.

BankMobile is the refund disbursement processor for the college.  BankMobile provides multiple options for a student to receive any refund that is due to him/her.  Students can choose to have funds transferred to an existing bank account, receive a paper check, or have funds electronically transferred to a BankMobile Vibe account.  A BankMobile Vibe debit card will be issued to the student if this option is selected. Students will receive information regarding these options through the mail.
