Talent Alignment Program

What is the Talent Alignment Program?

The Talent Alignment Program is a multi-week program designed for anyone in transition to something new.  You could be graduating from high school, preparing to exit the military, returning to the workforce, a student acquiring new skills and pursuing an opportunity, etc.  In the 3 weeks of the program, participants step back to reconnect to who they are and through facilitated events determine their goals, priorities and design out multiple paths forward that they can pursue. After participants identify these items about themselves and the future they want to pursue, they learn subsequent steps to articulate and differentiate who they are through their career attainment process.  The end result in the Alignment of the individual to the opportunity that aligns with their goals, priorities and who they are.

A guided, personalized journey – what each week is about:

Week 1: Discover and Identity Work to Build Your Foundation (hosted currently once a month on Tues and Thurs afternoons)

  • Explore who you are as an individual not how to serve an organization
  • Determine what matters to you during, and after your transition
  • Design your Way Forward and where you want to go

Week 2: Align to Opportunity

  • Explore how to differentiate yourself in the hiring market
  • Personal Branding to get the Opportunity you want next
  • Cultivate Professional Presence
  • Identify the opportunities that Align with you who you are
  • Maintain Momentum to achieve your Goal

Week 3: Connection & community

It’s all about Networking, Stewardship & Community Engagement
Events for this Week include Vet Above Board and additional events such as Mock Interviews and Hiring Fairs are also available throughout the year

WHAT IS “VET ABOVE BOARD“?

This initiative brings together veterans, military-connected students, college students, staff, local community members, employers, and community advocates to build a powerful, supportive network. The goal? To grow and strengthen connections between people, employers, and resources in our community.  It isn’t unheard of to interview and receive an offer of employment at this meeting or for a group to form and volunteer in the community after attending.

Week 4: Support & Stabilization

Email the PuckettCenter@columbustech.edu for 1 hour coaching sessions as desired for continued Stability (Week 4) throughout participation in the Talent Alignment Program+ (TAP+) and on your journey to your next Opportunity.
