CTC Adult Ed Students get New Chromebooks

Dozens of Columbus Tech students looking to earn their high school equivalency will now have the technological access to be successful. Paid for through a grant, 100 Chromebooks have been signed out and distributed to 100 students currently enrolled in the GED program at Columbus Technical College. The Chromebooks are on loan to the students who otherwise may not have access to laptops or the Internet. With learning environments moving to a primarily online platform, having these basic tools are essential.

"Distance education is a great asset to have but without the equipment to access this platform, students are at a standstill'," said CTC Vice President of Adult Education April Hopson. "The ability to loan out Chromebooks allows our students to take lemons and make lemonade! I could not express how great it was to hear from students how this would allow them to continue their education with our program.”
