Graduates and Awards
Goal: TCSG’s goal for the college is to increase the number of students earning awards (graduating) each year by 5% over the 2018 baseline.
Goal: In addition to the TCSG expectation and related targets, CTC identified a SACSCOC-identified graduation-rate indicator, the IPEDS graduation rate. To establish a goal for this indicator, college leadership identified a cohort of similar schools for comparison. Characteristics considered in selected the comparison group include size, student socioeconomics, governance, types of degrees offered, and proximity of military facilities to the colleges.
CTC established a comparison metric, to determine satisfactory performance, as the trailing 3-year average of the comparison group. On this metric, the college’s graduation rate has trended up over the past several years, from a low of 17% in 2011 to a high of 26% in 2017, which was even with the comparison group of schools.
