Columbus Technical College has been recognized for being one of the best colleges for veterans, active and retired military students and their dependents. For the sixth consecutive year, the College has earned the distinction of being named a Military Friendly® School. The designation comes as a result of a rigorous survey and methodology that included questions about financial assistance, the culture and commitment, career placement services, compliance, academic offerings, support and retention, graduation rates, and more.
Columbus Technical College traditionally has one of, if not the, highest population of military-related students in the Technical College System of Georgia. Our partnership with Fort Benning is invaluable.
“Columbus Technical College makes every effort to meet and exceed the needs of our military students and their families,” said President Lorette M. Hoover. “The College has a computer lab and lounge especially for this population, as well as a student organization and support services — all specifically geared toward veterans.”

Student Veterans Association (SVA) scholarship.
November 8, 2018: Columbus Technical College celebrates the military every year with a Veterans Day ceremony. After the event, the school’s veterans are treated to a free lunch.
